Fibromyalgia is a disorder in which sensitivity to pain is increased. It includes symptoms like widespread pain, sensitivity to touch, sleep issues and fatigue. So misdiagnosis are very much common with these symptoms. Diseases like lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, ankylosing spondylitis, multiple sclerosis have similar symptoms. Therefore, a deep medical history and physical examination, along with radiological examination is required for the diagnosis of fibromyalgia.
