Jade Thirlwall has admitted negative comments about her weight gain can be "triggering" if she's not careful.
The Little Mix singer finds it strange when people criticise her for putting weight on because she's "the healthiest she's ever been" after battling an eating disorder.
"The majority of the negative comments I receive are about me putting weight on, which I find really strange because I'm the healthiest I've ever been," she said on The Louis Theroux Podcast.
"I find the comments really bizarre. My fans know that history so bless them they always leap to my defence (when) anyone says I'm fat or (other negative comments). Like, there was a wedding I went to (in 2024) where everyone thought I was pregnant because I was bloated. Obviously, stuff like that is very triggering for someone that's, you know, had a history of anorexia. So, I really have to battle that sometimes with people's comments."
The 32-year-old, who now performs solo music under the name JADE, battled anorexia between 13 and 18 and briefly "fell" back into it without realising when she was "really depressed" and in a "dark place" during Little Mix's Glory Days era in 2016.
The Angel of My Dreams singer noted that it felt weird for her to talk about it these days "because I feel so far removed from that person".
