JAMES CLEVERLY DOES 100 PRESS-UPS A DAY

James Cleverly took a break from what has been a busy week in the Home Office as he continued a charity challenge for which he is doing 100 press-ups every day in April.

The Home Secretary has so far raised £1,770 – almost double the £1,000 target he set himself – for Cancer Research after his wife Susie was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2021.

Mrs Cleverly finished treatment in April 2023 following a single mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and immunotherapy.

“The gorgeous Mrs C was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer,” Mr Cleverly said. “Without the research that underpins modern cancer treatments Susie would not still be with us… Please support and help fund life-saving research by donating to my page.”

His efforts come as part of a wider 100 push-up challenge organised by Cancer Research. Almost £250,000 has now been raised by more than 3,000 participants.
